William Blair analyst says Ecolab has strong international growth prospects
biz.yahoo.com

NEW YORK (AP) -- William Blair analyst Nate Brochmann said Ecolab Inc.'s presentation at the investment firm's growth stock conference this week reaffirmed his belief that Ecolab has strong international growth prospects and attractive opportunities in health care and pest control markets.

St. Paul, Minn.-based Ecolab makes cleaning and sanitizing products for foodservice and hospitality customers, and provides pest elimination, maintenance and repair services. The company recently reported first-quarter earnings of $102.9 million on sales of $1.46 billion.

Brochmann said the tone of Chief Executive Officer Doug Baker's presentation was upbeat, as he discussed recent product developments and strategic initiatives.

The analyst said Ecolab has great opportunity in infection control, taking its pest control business global, and in water/sustainability management.

"Additionally, recurring revenue streams from the companys diversified product segments provide for a relatively less cyclical business model that should help partly offset economic weakness in the United States," he wrote in a note to clients.
