Yes, the entire gain is gone. The following the news release I got from The Red Chip Review. John
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 2, 1998--Active Voice Corporation (Nasdaq:ACVC), a leader in PC-based voice processing systems and Computer-Telephony Integration (CTI) solutions, today reported that as a result of a longer-than-anticipated product transition it expects to report a revenue decrease for the quarter ended March 31, 1998 of approximately 4% compared to the March 31, 1997 quarter resulting in a loss in the range of $0.29 to $0.31, per share.
''On February 4, we announced the revamp of our line of voice processing systems which merged Replay and Replay Plus into our flagship, Repartee,'' stated Robert Richmond, Active Voice's chief executive officer. ''It's a major transition, we are migrating over half of our dealer revenue to two new products. Repartee VP is designed for smaller organizations. Repartee CTI is for businesses that need more capacity or are ready to add our TeLANophy suite of unified messaging and desktop call management modules. Our customers became aware of the new version last fall and we were a quarter late in the delivery. The uncertainty extended the selling cycle.''
''We expect flat revenue for the next couple of quarters because on March 3 we announced our new NT product, Unity, currently scheduled for summer availability,'' added Richmond. ''We have developed our NT and BackOffice-based communications server from the ground up to take full advantage of the powerful features Microsoft offers in these areas. The product is focused toward Fortune 1000 businesses and interest from them has reinforced our belief in our continued investment,'' Richmond added. |
