Embratel Selects Accugraph Software; Network Inventory
and Provisioning Leader Selected by Brazilian Telco

RICHARDSON, TEXAS--Accugraph Corporation (NASDAQ - ACCUF, TSE -
ACU.A), the leader in Network Inventory and Provisioning
solutions, announced today it has reached an agreement with
Embratel, the largest long distance telecom provider in Brazil.

The contract is valued at US$900,000. The agreement calls for
Accugraph to provide software and services to assist in the survey
and inventory capture of over 800 sites.

In a competitive offer between three major hardware providers,
Accugraph was bid as the network inventory software and service
provider, by all three vendors. Embratel selected Fujitsu as the
prime contractor, and supplier of Sun workstations. Accugraph was
part of the agreement.

Embratel currently uses Accugraph's products for Inside Plant
management. The application consists of managing floor space and
equipment including bays, shelves and cards. Embratel has an
Oracle database running on a Sun and IBM platform. The agreement
represents project expansion of approximately 60 workstations
around the country.

"We continue to see acceptance of Accugraph as the de facto
standard for network inventory and provisioning in North America
and around the world," said Paul Damp, chairman and chief
executive officer, Accugraph Corporation. "Major telecom providers
are looking for results and Embratel has experienced a proven
solution with Accugraph's products."
