Well, I started my career in Pgh, Pa. for 5 years so I had a lot of snow and ice there. I too had studded tires then. So I have some familiarity with it and am aware that 4wd doesnt do much to help on ice. I wont be facing any of that in Las Cruces but I do intend to visit snowy areas which are about 2 hr drive from las 'Cruces, they even have a ski lodge in that distance. jdn
