CCGR DD and links...

This information is from the Raging Bull board which is active.
------------------------------------------------------
CCGR is sports and movie merchandise of collectibles and is pink right now (listen to CCGR-Anthem high-tech.com ). The pink-situation will hopefully be resolved soon, since there is "some" disapointment on the board concerning the late filing of CCGR and delays.
Recent PR shows, that CCGR is expanding in both areas. However, this post is just about their x-men activities, since it might be a good example of where CCGR might be heading with other movie merchandise as well (rumors are Spiderman, Terminator 3, Austin Powers sequels, Lord of the rings). X-men might be just the beginning for CCGR. Even toys'R'us is going to sell CCGRs X-men collectibles. Look for other DD-links at the bottom of this page and look at collectbaseball.com for an example of the beginning sports merchandise. Please remember to do you own DD before you make any decision on CCGR, since this post can not be your only info for any trading decision for CCGR ... IMO.

ARTICLES ON X-MEN MERCHANDISE

UK Heat Magazine heatmagazine.co.uk
"It's the movie every comic geek has been waiting for and it's set to be one of the biggest blockbusters'...from a screenplay that includes input from Buffy creator Joss Whedon...in August [the UK release] we'll find out if it's another Batman...or another Judge Dredd. Either way, expect a toyshop frenzy when the merchandise hits the shelves."

Toyfare magazine #34, 04/12/2000
"While Star Wars and wrestling have taken the center spotlight over the past two years, this summer's X-Men movie may be leading the pack on a resurgence of comic book-themed merchandise!"

Newsweek, 03/20/2000 newsweek.com
The $75 million X-Men movie could become not only the biggest movie of the summer when it opens July 14, but the beginning of a superhero franchise so enormous Batman will be running for cover. Fans of the teenage superheroes [...] have been waiting for this movie for years, even decades. [...] 20th Century Fox and Marvel Comics are betting that X-fanatics will consume a flood of toys and videogames, several sequels, and a new Saturday-morning cartoon. All they need now is a good movie.
