Rachel and Richard Engle are doing a good job of showing how nuts what we are doing is. Obama has always listened to the military way too much for my liking. I remember when I was protesting the Viet Nam war and watching PBS's history of it. The military lied to us every day with absolute impunity; and Henry Luce, the Rupert Murdock of his time and owner of Time magazine also lied about the war in his magazine every day. They were blatant about their lying. As though they had a right and need to do it and we should just accept it. They were the military and knew best what to do. It has been 70 years since that has been true. Maybe 65, not sure about Korea. So we were involved in this stupid war for a long time in the 60's based on nothing but the fears of paranoid dumb ass right wingers and the lying military. And this past 24 hours is looking to me exactly like what we experienced in Viet Nam. I recognize the blood thirsty criminals Isis is. What I do not recognize is that we are now, or have been, addressing the criminality of Isis in an intelligent way.
