I thought Lieberman was feeling pretty good the other day for only accepting $1000.00 from Enron.

3:43PM Sen. Lieberman asked to recuse himself (ENE) by Matt Andrejczak
Senator Lieberman, D-Conn., chairman of the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee, was asked by the National Legal and Policy Center to recuse himself from the Enron probe. NLPC said Lieberman should avoid the appearance of a "double standard" due to contributions he and his political committees directly received from Enron. The Senate Governmental Affairs Committee is one of six congressional panels investigating Enron, the now-bankrupt energy trader. NLPC is a nonprofit foundation promoting ethics and accountability in government. The group said Enron, Citigroup, and Andersen gave $145,000 over the past two years to the New Democrat Network -- a group Lieberman founded. Citigroup is Enron's biggest creditor; Andersen is its auditor.
