I thought that was interesting, so I did a little investigation.

At first I thought it might be index arbitrage with the SOX or something, but most components didn't move much. The ones I noticed in that last 30 minute sprint were MU, LSI, and TER. These might just have been holding cells for hot money wanting to move into the semi sector before the weekend.

MU of course got a little delusional support from the news that the Micro Stamp (tm) was involved in some vaguely defined contract with the FAA to develop baggage security. I like the Micro Stamp business and would cheerfully buy into it if it wasn't associated with Micron <g>.

In any case, it's hard to tell when these little hope-n-hype pops will end, but Michael's right on this one. You got a big money-losing business (DRAMs) hooked to a big barely-profitable business (PCs) and bad numbers for many quarters to come. I'd personally rather short than buy puts, 'cuz of just those little glitches that you speak of.
