In the past year, registration numbers have soared from approximately 6500 as of June 1, 1999 to a remarkable milestone of 100,000 registrations as of June 11, 2000 -- exceeding 1300% growth. This rapid increase in growth demonstrates tremendous interest from Internet content providers and applications developers to deliver Internet applications to mobile phones and global support for the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) standard.

The Phone.com(TM) Developer Program is designed to provide the resources required to successfully define, architect, and implement WAP information services for wireless phones. The program is open to all developers worldwide and is free-of-charge.
