A little touchy aren't we Michael, of cource you have a right to express an opinion. Once you exercise that right and post it, everyone has the right to agree or disagree. If I am not mistaken thats the purpose of this thread, It seems obvious my opinion has elicited some disagreement among people who are long Claire's. Aren't we all interested in hearing everyone's opinions so that when one day the stock go up or crashes we are not caught naaping at the switch. Threads that are self flagelating with only positive information about a stock serve no purpose to me, as Jack Welsh says I want every ....
opinion in this room.
Lets talk management practises, the Chairmans sells 900,000 shares at 22.50 and the stock tanks,I'am long 5000 shares, he didn't tell me ! everyone gets caught holding. The CEO announced in Dec he is exercising his options for 45000 shares when the stock is around $12.00 because he wants to own the stock, come on. If you have option rights you don't exercise them after the stock has dropped 50% to go long, there are tax liabilities
and this is not an option stratgery. He got caught with his pants down!!! Claires said they were going to buy back 1 million shares in Jan What better time when the stock was at 11.50, has that happened?
These are flags of cautions to me, contra opinions are welcome!
Have a nice day!
