The income tax system is a poor analogy cause the laws are set up with many legal ways of manipulation......write offs, etc. You do pay a higher percentage but you can shelter more of what you make. Unfortunately, government pork is too fat. I just that 400 billion dollars was targeted for corporate welfare. Since personal welfare programs nationnwide cost around 50 billion I's like to see which counties in the US got the pork distribution. Under Newt Gingrich's rule in congress, Cobb County Ga where he lives received the third highest pork allotment in the country. The only two counties to beat Cobb were the county that housed NASA near Houston and the county that housed the Pentagon. LOL.....votes for jobs!!!!!!!!LOL
