Bob,
Unisys is just one of their licensing partners. Don't forget D & T, Hewlett-Packard and don't forget Japan which I believe will be a bonanza for DDIM. Add to that all the other licensees in the US and an additional 15 around the world and you have a lot more than just Unisys! It will be huge and as the Gilford report shows, the Y2K peak in revenues is being pushed out beyond 2000. A lot of companies are already too late to do it right so "windowing" and Patchwork and selective bandaids will push everything out.
Remember this:
1. DDIM landed 6 "Fortune 200" companies in the 2nd. quarter.
2. 2 million short position
3. DDIM will earn $1.00 per share fully taxed for each 10,000 ARDES 2K sales and $.75 annually from Internet residuals.
4. Just wait for the flak as the US Gov't Agencies start reporting that they will not be Y2K compliant in time.
JUST WAIT!
My advice for what its worth. If I were short now and I really believed that DDIM is a pig etc. then I would give it until the price action goes to a new closing high. That would mean placing a stop (mental) if possible at about 32.5. The reasoning is quite simple and we must all be rational about it. Don't fight the tape and don't fight the trend! Save some $$$ for when the time is ripe. Once above 32, if it happens, there will be NO STOPPING the stock. It's tough to go long having been short but at least cover to prevent a disaster.
That's my not so humble (as I guess everyone knows by now so why hide it) opinion. Good Luck in your decision.
