I have no problem with your opinion. We all have one.

But the economy would look better today imo if the FED had started lowering rates last summer. High interest rates generally kill the economy, not high stock valuations. Those take care of themselves evtl.

This wealth effect thing, the FED came up with, is a good one.
Let's see how they get us out of this negative wealth effect, as long as we are talking about wealth effect.

A lot of cos. are struggling now and I don't believe it's because their stocks went up too high. Some of the newer cos. could not go to the market for new money and that did them in. But let's not even talk about new economy cos., a lot of the old ones are laboring enough. Maybe the consumer confidence numbers are right and the consumers will buy, buy again even if some of their money went to money heaven.
