Yes, Google can be spyware, but the extent of it depends on what services of theirs you are using just how much they are watching/collecting. And, yes, some other services do the same thing. And you don't care?

How can your rail against Fascist Republicans, banks, etc., when you tolerate the collection of data on your every move?

If anyone cares, there is a search engineer that uses Google, but allows one to do Web searches anonymously.
