I'm not sure that this test is very useful. The inherent risk - before looking at lifestyle - changes by a factor of two. Moderate dietary and exercise changes allow all to reduce their risk by substantially more.

How would recommendations differ for those categorised as high risk versus those with low risk. I doubt that doctors are going to say, "you've not got a disposition for diabetes. Don't worry about your weight and there's no need to bother with exercise." Are those who have the disposition going to try harder when they have twice the risk? People are notoriously bad at estimating personal risks.
