Well as LBJ used to say, let's reason together.

The "analysis" is false on its face, so why?

Could it be that this is a European "house"?

Could it be that the US subsidiary has zero influence?

If any of that is correct, why?

What is to gain from trashing Qualcomm?

Or more to the point, what is to lose?

Qualcomm is loaded with cash. Qualcomm has no need for a "banker" and in actual fact will soon be a "banker" itself.

So why not put Qualcomm down? No loss of business. Potential business from Europe which is desperate now since even a trained chimpanze sees Europe as falling down on 3G.

In sum, look to who owns the "analysts", who needs money (it will not be from Qualcomm) and what is the penalty for the lies (or whatever the polite term might be) or ((cough)) - unrealized predictions of failure?

Will the US gov't act? Of course not. Will the EU applaud, sure. (but quietly as with one hand clapping.)

Best.
