AvantGo Delivers Free Mobile Internet Service to Macintosh Users

With this announcement, AvantGo's hundreds of thousands of users can freely access the web from Palm devices that synchronize with Macintosh computers.
AvantGo now enables Macintosh users with Palm devices to access the entire web directly from their mobile devices or select from over 350 content channels that have been optimized for mobile devices. Using a wireless, real-time connection or via desktop synchronization, AvantGo users can access interactive and personalized content and applications directly from their Palm devices by becoming a registered AvantGo user.

Pricing, Availability and Requirements
AvantGo is free of charge to users of Apple PowerPC-based computers, such as the iMac, PowerMac G3 and G4, PowerBook and the iBook. Available at www.avantgo.com, the service requires Palm's HotSync Manager for synchronizing web-based content and applications to Apple computers. Once AvantGo has been installed on an individual's Palm device, the service can be used with any wireless or dialup modem.
