AvantGo Delivers Free Mobile Internet Service to Macintosh Users

SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 27, 2000--AvantGo, Inc., the authority in managing mobile information(tm), today announced that the AvantGo(tm) mobile Internet service is now widely available for the Apple Macintosh platform for free via download at avantgo.com.

With this announcement, AvantGo's hundreds of thousands of users can freely access the web from Palm devices that synchronize with Macintosh computers.

Pricing, Availability and Requirements

AvantGo is free of charge to users of Apple PowerPC-based computers, such as the iMac, PowerMac G3 and G4, PowerBook and the iBook. Available at www.avantgo.com, the service requires Palm's HotSync Manager for synchronizing web-based content and applications to Apple computers. Once AvantGo has been installed on an individual's Palm device, the service can be used with any wireless or dialup modem.
