RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 14, 2006--Hawkeye Manufacturing, Inc. has announced an alliance with Pacific Sands (OTCBB:PFSD - News) to distribute the EcoOne(TM) Spa Treatment System alongside its current line of portable spas. EcoOne(TM) is an environmentally safe, nontoxic water treatment system with superior benefits to standard chlorine or bromine systems.
Effective immediately, every Hawkeye and Barefoot spa leaving the company's Richmond, Va facility will include an EcoOne(TM) Starter Kit, which is comprised of a suite of cleansing and maintenance chemicals. In addition, Hawkeye has instituted a worldwide campaign to market the EcoOne(TM) system to their database of existing customers and retailers.
The agreement marks the first instance in the company's 20-year history that it has endorsed a major chemical brand. According to Casey Murray, Hawkeye's VP of Sales, initial testing of the EcoOne(TM) system far exceeded the expectations of their development staff.
