I can see it would be hard to be prepared when you only have to deal with snow and ice once every 18 years.

Typical perils here are people bouncing down icy stairs breaking hips and heart attacks from shoveling snow plus of course driving too fast for road conditions combined with crappy tires. A big 4 x 4 is great for peeling around town but they tend to slide really far at high speeds.

I wonder what Kate wears when she is running across the moors on a snowy night.
