Hmmm... Haven't had much time today to study the brackets, but here's my first impressions...

Florida has a decent bracket for them to advance to the Final Four. UCLA (#4) is good, but not that good. Syracuse (#3) has been erratic lately and Kansas (#2) may have injury problems that last throughout the entire tournament. Dark horses here are Pittsburgh (coming out of the very tough ACC) who is much better than a #9 seed, New Mexico (#7) who can be erratic good/erratic bad and VCU (#5) who can run with anyone but lacks great defense. Ohio State (#6) has been a disappointment all year and will likely do so again before the Sweet Sixteen.

Virginia easily makes the Sweet Sixteen but then has Michigan State (#4) and Villanova (#2) to get by, both teams "tough outs". Iowa State (#3) looks to be this bracket's only dark horse candidate, if you can call a #3 seed a dark horse.

Arizona probably makes it to the Sweet Sixteen, but is currently playing like a weak sister, and with the power forward out for the season, they are very vulnerable. Creighton is overrated as the #3 seed as is Wisconsin at #2. Dark horses in this bracket include Baylor (#8) and Oklahoma (#5). San Diego State (#4) is disrespected and may play like they have something to prove.

The final bracket is Wichita State's to lose, and I think they eventually will. No team is more inconsistent this year than Kentucky (#8). Saint Louis is seeded way too high at #5. Louisville (#4), Duke (#3) and Michigan (#2) look like more than enough competition for Wichita State so look for one of them to be the eventual survivor in this region. This is the toughest region of all, and there is no chance for a dark horse to emerge from this bracket.

EK!!!
