Relative to G Barr's explanation that the PE you looked up includes a one-time recognition of an investment gain, I'm going to mention once again without trying to be rude that you and everyone really do need to use a source that EXCLUDES those one-time critters. You've been following this thread a long time but I'll post this URL again:

When you add the EPS in the four most recent quarters and divide that sum into the price of the stock, you'll see that you're right that hardly any quality high-tech stocks have a PE (excluding one-time accounting events) below 100, including SanDisk.
