Why? Why not the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, or the German or Japanese stock exchanges, or, for that matter, the indexed value of the City of Rome since BC?

I do not want to, but will, remind folks that the market looks forward. We hold stocks, bonds, commodities just as we change clothing for different seasons. Winter is coming right up.
