I read the article. I believe it to be a clear case of someone who is required to publish on schedule. AMAT gets a premium because of its past growth rate and the market's belief that its dominance will contribute to its future growth rate. The article did not mention long term growth.

A like comparison could be made for CYMI and ASML. I suspect his and my conclusions would be similar to our MKSI/AMAT conclusions.

I have placed AMAT, NVLS, KLAC, and ASML on my quality list for the next cycle bottom. Any dollar spent on semi-equip "bargains" will be matched by a dollar in these.
