Now I'm confused...

Not surprising. It's not a terribly elegant way of doing things, but I also can't think of a better way. Seems the best compromise.

I'm userlevel 11...
1) so If I get the upgrade to Premium Plus that makes me Premium ? :o)

That makes you Premium-Plus, which gives you access to all the features the Quarterly, Semi-Annual, and Annual subscribers get. It's a superset of the features you already have and *currently* includes Advanced Search, Next 20-100, and ReadPerson.

2) if I get the upgrade and then let it lapse after one year I go back to 11 I assume ?

Correct. The system isn't currently set up to do that kind of expiration (it is, however, set up to expire Quarterlies, Semi-Annuals, and Annuals to Free Member status as well as send PM'd notifications when it's pending) but I've got nearly a year to implement that part, so I'll get to it eventually.
