This is not a political comment other than the fact it references a politician...but every time Boehner opens his mouth, the VIX/VXX soars and XIV tanks. XIV was moving up nicely this morning then Boehner "torpedo's" the Senate talks.... One has to wonder if this isn't intentional. Makes for great intraday trading but this is not good longer term for anyone. I'm guessing he'll shoot off his mouth again before the end of the trading day and we'll get another chance to "swing" on his comments...
