Your parents could have literally tied you to your bed to make sure NO harm comes to you, and just come in and feed you to keep you alive. But they did not. WHY? Do you think they intended to harm you by letting you make choices in this life? Did they not tell you to not cross the road without looking both ways twice, and I bet you took off and ran right out there with out as much as a glance. So, since THEY let you do that they must hate you and not care about you right?
Even your salvation is your choice. He laid a perfect gift on the alter for you, and yet He does not force you to accept it. If you do reject it, it does not invalidate the gift.
There are many things about death(especially with kids) I cannot answer until the time comes. I have heard people say, "when I get to heaven, I am going to ask God this or ask Jesus that", I suspect that when I do get there, all I will do is praise God for the gift.
You may wish to look into a little book called "The problem of Pain" by C. S. Lewis(i think). I have not read it, but plan to hopefully in the near future. |
