Lance, Wolenchuk is not an artist. The Stockman Group on the internet maintains a list of promoters who are not on the up and up. They report the stocks they are involved in and warn people to stay away. It is up to us to expose these crooks when we see them involved. The internet makes this possible. Don Wolenchuk is someone who has been around a long time and enjoys a good reputation. He looks behind the scenes of all the companies he reports on. I think its a vote of confidence to see him post his investment in NPEC. His newsletter uses the new medium of the 900 number. His reputation is too important for him to be knowingly involved in some scam that you seem to think is playing out here. I am not saying its impossible to put one over on Wolenchuk, but its unlikely. He is a regular guest on radio and TV. If he is ever involved in a scam like you were caught in its over for him. His reputation and standing in the investment community are more important to him than his 500,000 shares of NPEC. I am more comfortable with my investment in NPEC knowing that he follows the company. NPEC=Bre-X ? I can dream that, but reality tells me to get a grip. I have been a financial writer for many years and have written about the IBM's, MSFT's, PRD's, XRX's, HP's, but the best money makers are the stocks like NPEC. All time great was Cook Data Systems at $.50 Cook wrote software for the oil industry and used their extra cash to start a video store that eventually became a chain with outlets in every corner of the country. Thats right folks, Blockbuster video is up several thousand per cent from $.50 How about a $10,000 investment turning into seven million? Sure, I have had some losses mixed in but when your $.75 stock HRXL goes to $8.00 in two years you can see the potential of these small stocks. I wrote a piece several years ago about the best per cent gainers for one through ten years and every one of the biggest gainers started at less than a buck The major brokerage houses like to recommend the companies they are tied to with pension fund managment, bond offerings, secondary offerings. They push the stocks that are best for them, not you. NPEC=$15 ? Maybe, maybe not. Don't sit around watching it happen, take part in it, buy some stock. Coz |
