Have you ever looked inside a server at an ISP..if you just listen to
the geeks on the news; they would not know one chip from another
2 min after you showed it them..they could not even write a simple batch file, yet they know?? ..all they do is read one anothers
stuff..I find most of it corny..I know what it takes to set up
an ISP..and to run it and to make money is no easy chore..AOL is
to top heavy..she can't do it..she can get 20 million
subs , and she will just lose more money. There is a point,
of deminishing returns..she has past that point.
I'm an old boat capt that got into computers when I quit
my running around..but take a tug..you make money by the
tonnage you move..up to a point..put on more tonnage and you
back up..in fact you can get in serious troble if grab more
than you can pull..and if you say get a bigger boat..then
you may as well get a ship..they are not the same..ships can't
go were tugs do..if AOL wants to be a big shot tell her to buy
MCI..she not even an up to date tug..like an old single screw,
manual steering..direct reversable thing out of the history books,
no flanking rudders..or any one who would know how to use them
if she got some..she has to hire outside help to maintain
the horse and buggy system she has..negitive heck no..I think
it's some feat that she even works at all <G>
