Thread: Good morning. During the past months I've been mainly watching the thread from the sidelines. Like many of you I've been burned by the Naz downturn. I was new to investing and making mistakes was likely. Was I influenced by the overly optimistic expectations of some on this thread? Definitely. But I would be the only one I could "blame"... at least if I wanted to do so :-). AMD will bounce back, and likely pretty well too, IMHO. AMD is building market share and the future offerings look really promising. The market will build AMD. I just bought an inexpensive laptop K6-2+ 550 from HP for my nephew. He loves it. And I got a friend to invest in AMD and suggested him to get a Gateway 1.2 Gig T-Bird since he needed an new machine (5th Gateway he got, 1st AMD). That thing really flies. He loves it. I will only use AMD at home and at work (I just trashed an old Dell.... :-) ). Pretty soon I'll replace this good ol' K6-2 550 by a more-up-to-date box. And all that makes me happy. There is another thing that makes me happy and I don't think it's OT (To Mani: after all I'm also an AMD investor... :-) ) I'm moving to the west coast on Friday. In the Irvine area but I may have to go to San Diego for business. If anyone living in those areas would like to meet another AMDroid, I would sure love to.
