I agree with everything you said. I've never understood why the people who were laid off in the so-called Rust Zone of the country, didn't band together, and start a new kind of company....Surely there would have been some talented people in that group who could have sparked that idea....

I think that they didn't was another nail in their coffin....They were so dependent on the unions to get the next grab, they just lost their independence and became couch potatoes.
