I'm not sure that the internet will raise productivity; I do think that the internet will
increasingly be incorporated into our lives and our work, and that is why stocks like
AOL (especially AOL) have such a bright future.

Chalu2,

The internet will raise productivity but not in the retail fashion that some believe. It will based on business to business. I live in a town that is know as the tool and die capital of the world. We have more tool and die shops per capital than anywhere. Many have already embraced the technology of the internet for just in time deliverys. A good example is some of these shops produce the rivets, nuts and bold, etc that go into automobiles. Let's say one is a supplier to the GM for the Chevy Cavalier. I am just picking a product. Each morning the tool and die shop's computer receives a number of cars completed. The computer is programmed to know many of a specific part this car uses fromt his tool and die shop. The computer creates an order for so many nuts, bolts, etc. each day. No human intervention necessary and the just in time model works fine.

Let's not confuse that with the individual delivery of a few books to each house somewhere from AMZN. Please;-)

Glenn
