Dear Shawn, I read your article as it was pointed to on yahoo as rhat
news. I make my living by investing in Linux stocks. I invest in what
I know. I've been investing in Linux stocks for over two years.
Currently aplx is my favorite Linux stock and Sgi is my second. I've
been in and out of corl and I'm in mtic. But to give you a perspective
on the growth of Linux mindshare I submit the following.
About a year ago an article was written by a competitive news
organization and I of course had fun responding.
I've used linux for over six years and I'm amazed the the continuing
positive acceleration of the Linux phenomenom.
I come not to praise linux by Mike Surkan.

part of the answer to your question. Is Linux for the long haul??

on Linux.
Now to the realness of Linux by my measurement of users comments. This
is a result of talkback to Mike Surkan's article.
Everybody has an opinion. My opinion is based on my experience. I
constantly challenge my assumptions about why I have a particular
opinion. I like to measure how my opinion's compare with other
intelligent people. So all you have to do is count. I've found in the
past that individuals with hands on working technical experience have an
excellent grasp of reality as opposed to those who live by advertising
hype. But usually even amoung the seemingly technically literate their
are at least 10% who inspite of obvious truth's just don't get it.
