The US Government has generally opposed (in courts) the concept of private citizens suing foreign governments (apparently believing it's the Government's job - as the wielder of foreign policy - to do things like that).

I don't know if they have taken a position on this new suit yet but, in the past and currently, they have opposed in court the OK City survivors from suing foreign states, they oppose still the efforts of the former Iran hostages from seeking recompense, etc.

I'm sure there are many other examples, I just can't think of them now.

The question you might want to ask yourself is: "what is the Bush admin. going to do about this case?"
