The SUNW connection --- Ledbetter has been a corporate vice president of Sun Microsystems Inc., and general manager of SunSelect, when he headed it, it was one of the then $4 billion computer maker's eight operating divisions. The Sun-Select division, headquartered in the Boston area, makes and markets UNIX and PC-based networking products.
He then joined AT&T as head of Consumer Products in 1993 and became CEO of Hybrid after AT&T. Prior to joining Sun in 1991, Ledbetter ran his own firm, Decision Point Consulting, for two years. Before that he was president and chief exectuve officer of Control Data Corpora- tion's ETA Systems subsidiary, a supercomputer manufacturer, and vice president of engineering and scientific products for Prime Computer. Earlier, from 1981 to 1986, he served in several as- signments at IBM. |
