Between the Coca Cola Enterprises deal and the merger between OrbComm's VAR, Intrex, into a new company called DecisionLink, is pretty powerful stuff. Revenues for FOCS increased 49% in 1999 over 1998 and this merger should help dramatically in 2000, as will the very healthy oil industry this year.

"Using the ORBCOMM system and the Internet, the UDN allows a
customer to monitor and control remote or mobile assets such as gas wells, pipelines, compressors, storage tanks, offshore platforms, utilities or service vehicles directly from a desktop PC via the Internet."

DecisionLink will bring together Intrex's UDN and Fiberchem's advanced fiber-optic chemical sensors with the ORBCOMM network to provide customers with critical environmental information used for pipeline leak detection, oil production, water quality monitoring and industrial
wastewater compliance monitoring. This innovative solution can save companies money associated with the development and implementation of operational systems.


"We expect this technology to present significant opportunities to DecisionLink, its customers and business partners."

When I spoke to the Company, they also said the technology can be used to monitor the 10 Million propane tanks in North America as well, to help the distributors and customers to much better manage and monitor the delivery efficiency.

Works for me. I ran out of gas again recently for the second month in a row.
