AMZN is almost down to the 170-180 level I thought it would see. If the squeeze is now on the other foot- brokerages increasing their margin requirements right at the time when the stock is dropping, then these stocks could ricochet downward further than most people expect. The situation appears to be shaping up to be the reverse of a few days ago. I haven't seen this before so it's only my guess based on what's been reported and the action of the stocks so far. If the sector goes into free-fall, the optimum time to cover or go long is likely to be equally as brief as the short stay at the 230 level, IMO.

Bezos is helpless to announce his way out of this situation - good news now has little or no effect.
