I see Kramer is saying to avoid the tankers because he thinks a glut of new ships is coming on the market starting this year. It seems to me he's missing the fact that smart guys like FRO are converting single-hulled tankers into the lift business and this trend will reduce SH tankers faster than scrap projections and in a more profitably way. NAT is much smaller than FRO and so may not be able to apply this lift conversion strategy but will still benefit the reduced supply.

I also saw Bryan Perry The 25% Cash Machine guy interviewed on Forbes and he was touting NAT.

Glad to find this thread. I'm always amazed how little interest there seems to be in the huge dividends these tankers pay. Beats the heck out of O&G CRTs.
