Bill, for years the reaction on the part of a certain segment of the black population has been to play the race card. Sharpton, Jackson et al are skilled practitioners at it. During the campaign, the Obama campaign played the race card against Billary. That was posted about and discussed right here.

Some on the left refuse to accept there are genuine and legitimate differences of opinion and react strongly when opposing views are expressed. I'm not hoping for a deterioration in race relations, but I don't view Obama as the one who has transcended race and cured what ails America in that regard.

The key is going to be how Obama's black constituency reacts to criticism of his policies and actions in office. If that constituency reacts by throwing down the race card, then yes, I believe it could contribute to an overall deterioration in race relations in this county.

And to quote mph, "Further sayeth affiant naught."
