Your problem is with the president not the appointees. The appointees are going to think the same way about him on the issues they are in power over. You disagree with the president, therefore you disagree with the appointees.

It hasn't just "gotten to the point". It's been that way for a long time, and to an extent it should be. That's what I'm talking about, not whether you agree with the ideas or policies they support.

In addition, some lack all qualifications except for their personal loyalty to the president.

Maybe a very few. But again that is nothing new. Of course opinions differ as the qualifications as well. Its not entirely subjective, but it certainly isn't an entirely objective issue either.
