can't speak for Matthew but it's hard to address anything in this topsy-turvy world of communications/electronics/cyberspace beyond next month, maybe, because change is so rapid. Think back 18 months ago - who had even heard of Ascend or were more than a bit interested in the Internet? So many possibilities - a buyout by a bigger company, or a merger of equals, or more buyouts a la Cisco's pattern... or someone comes out with a better mousetrap before Ascend does (not likely but who knows?). All of this constant, rapid change just boggles the mind. Even cheese isn't what it was 2 years ago!
