El Centro Regional Medical Center Chooses QuadraMed for Its Healthcare Information Management Systems
AFFINITY's Flexibility and Functionality Oust McKesson/HBOC At El Centro
SAN RAFAEL, Calif.--(BW HealthWire)--June 25, 2001-- QuadraMed Corporation (Nasdaq:QMDC - news) announced today that El Centro Regional Medical Center, an acute care facility in El Centro, Calif., purchased its AFFINITY® information system to manage its clinical and financial information functions. QuadraMed's system will replace El Centro's existing McKesson/HBOC healthcare information system. El Centro also purchased QuadraMed's Web-enabled Electronic Document Management (EDM) solution, which merges paper records with electronic documents, and its automated chart management system, MEDREC Millennium(TM).
With its open system architecture and database, AFFINITY is scalable and flexible. By combining AFFINITY with QuadraMed's Electronic Document Management and MEDREC Millennium solutions, El Centro gains a powerful enterprise information repository that automates patient records, clinical information and chart management, and financial tasks, such as billing and reporting. Overall, QuadraMed's products will improve workflow by electronically managing medical records and provide real-time access to comprehensive patient information.
