Frank - do you think that perhaps one reason for the delay for spending throughout the broadband industry is that we do not know who will be owning what until ATTBB is decided?

If ATT decides to IPO ATTBB then developments will be slow because of the time involved and the fact that only ATT money will be involved. Add to this the fact that many people think ATT has way underestimated the cost of AWE 2.5G upgrade costs (it will suck up a lot of the cash needed for BB upgrades).

IF MSFT, Comcast and ATT get together you will have another outcome. AOL and ATT will be another one. Each have their own major effects on the industry.

If I were a large player in this business I would wait until ATT decides (in the next few weeks) and then begin to plan capex for 2002.
