Subject: Y2K Problems

All computer related technology is potentially affected by Y2K Problems,
from the large legacy computer systems within governments, financial
institutes and utilities, to the computer chips in a household appliances
and consumer electronics. The scope of the problem is overwhelming and over
75% of the market place has yet to address the issue. The financial
institutes seem to have taken the lead in planning the resolution of Y2K
Problems and are for the most part addressing the issue now, but even they
are falling behind.

Manual intervention, system replacement and code factories are the main
approaches currently being used to resolve Y2K Problems. These methods are
cumbersome, time consuming, incomplete and present a high risk in trying to
achieve acceptable success. Automated processes are key if the resolutions
are to be achieved in a timely and comprehensive manner. The market place
is large and diverse, the dollar value is huge, good tools are in demand,
resources are hard to find and the millennium is fast approaching. Y2C's
Chronicle 2000 approach that utilizes integrated automated tools, is what
the market place needs.
