What is the event that starts the 70th week of Daniel, the bad decision of Israel that Scriptures calls the "covenant of death"
Isa, 28:15,18
As from the beginning of time unbelieving Jews in Israel will openly trust other men instead of God for there protection. When a powerful and highly admired leader, "and by the smooth words he will turn to godlessness those who act wickedly toward the covenant, Dan, 11:23/30/32 (Antichrist incognito) rises out of Europe and takes control of 3 Aryan/Japhethite countries and serves as his beginning power base, Israel will make a covenant with him. Just as in the days of Antiochus Epiphanes Israel will think that this treaty (which is probably made at a time when Israel is on the verge of military defeat) will be there only hope for peace and security. Because of there unbelief and there intellectual and spiritual blindness, Israel will look upon this invincible leader as a great protector and will quickly develop a false sense of security. As Isaiah predicts they will instead encounter "sheer terror" (Isa, 28:19) when 3 1/2 years later they find out this great protector turns into (after Antichrist reveals himself as who he really is) there great destroyer.
This prince who is to come -- will make a firm covenant with the many for one week (Dan, 9:26,27).
Which this covenant that Israel makes with Antichrist, it will initiate the start of the 70th week.
Therefore, we as believers should beware of this events and watch for the rise of a world leader that saves Israel from destruction.
