An Alberta subsidiary of YFMC has signed a letter of intent for the purchase of a medical centre in Calgary, Alta.
The addition of the Calgary medical centre will represent YFMC's second location in Alberta and provide a base for further acquisitions in Calgary, one of Canada's most dynamic cities. YFMC's short-term strategy is to establish a significant presence in Alberta and British Columbia. YFMC provides continuing and acute care to over 270,000 patients annually.
The purchase of the Calgary medical clinic is expected to be completed by April 1999, subject to the signing of a purchase agreement.
