VARI is the spun off Varian Instruments group and not the Varian Medical group. Varian Medical will retain the stock symbol VAR and Varian Instruments has become VARI on the NASDAQ exchange. The third company spun off from Varian is the Semiconductor Equipment group whose stock will be traded also on the NASDAQ exchange under the VSEA symbol.
