Bach-Hauser President Interviewed on Wall Street Reporter
NIAGARA FALL, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 20, 1999--Bach-Hauser (OTC BB:BHAS - news) announced today that company president Peter Preston was interviewed this week by the Wall Street Reporter. In the real audio online interview, Preston discusses the current business endeavors of Bach-Hauser's recycling services and plans to further position the company in the waste diversion marketplace. The information from the interview is available online at the Wall Street Reporter's Web site, located at wallstreetreporter.com.
``The demand is increasing for effective diversion methods to reduce landfill waste and we feel confident that we have the best waste diversion technology in the industry,' said Preston. ``Bach-Hauser can save a municipality between 18% - 30% on their waste disposal costs, and at the same time, help drastically reduce the amount of landfill waste. Landfills are becoming overfilled at an alarming rate and the waste leakage poses a serious problem by contaminating our lakes, rivers and aquifers. When municipalities institute our Total Recycling System©, they can divert up to 80% of their solid waste materials from their landfills, thus preventing many environmental problems through effective recycling.'
Bach-Hauser recycling methods solve many of the most serious problems commonly associated with waste management. The company's proprietary Total Recycling System© can help alleviate the growing waste problems in landfills by nearly 100% of common recyclable products and by converting the majority of the rest of the garbage that would normally go to landfills into organic compost. The compost can then be resold to local gardeners and agricultural users to improve the area's soil.
There is a growing need for environmentally responsible solutions to waste disposal. In the U.S., government mandates to handle waste in a more responsible and efficient manner have created a $70 billion North American environmental industry. Waste Management Inc. (NYSE:WMI - news) alone has over a $13 billion market capitalization. Internationally, the market potential is probably even greater. Other major players in the waste management services industry include Allied Waste Industries (NYSE:AW - news), Republic Services (NYSE:RSG - news), Safety-Kleen Corp. (NYSE:SK - news) and Tetra Tech (Nasdaq:WATR - news).
