Genesee & Wyoming reports higher North American traffic By Mike Maynard WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (GWR) said its North American rail traffic increased 22.3% last month compared to September 2004, reaching 65,734 carloads. Third-quarter North American traffic of 199,088 carloads was up 23.1%, primarily reflecting growth in pulp and paper shipments as well as in lumber and forest products, the freight railroad operator said.
