Wanted to clear up a few things I read on this thread...

1)Microvision's virtual retinal display VRD will not be limited to
$50,000 products. One of the advantages of VRD is that it has the
potential
For much better production economies than miniaturized
screens...Check
out Fortune July 8th, 1996 where Andrew Kupfer talks about a VRD
built into
a cell phone enabling the user to see a full-size (like a 14" monitor)
image for combining wireless voice and data communiations...

The reason that we have talked about more expensive products (the
correct
range is $5,000 to $50,000) is that these will likely be the first to
appear..
Some of them will have very high performance requirements and
relatively
small numbers will be built...In the longer term...high volume markets
like
cell phones and game systems should easily drive cost out of the
system since
VRDs are in some ways easier to build than high-density LCDs etc.

2)Products should ship during 1998...however, in the meantime a lot
of
big companies have showed interest in the company's technology...The
company's operating model calls for us to engage in partnering and co-
development arrangements...We have attracted lots of attention from
market leaders worldwide and are in active discussions...Stay tuned...

3) You might want to check the Gartner group's webpage for MV
updates
also...IT Expo Innovator's keynote panel...

Thanks for your interest...

Kind regards

Rick Rutkowski
