Subject: McRaven's Commencement Speech (Another Perspective)
I challenge you to find any instance when Obama, Hillary or any other prominent Democrat since Kennedy
ever said anything as positive or encouraging as McRaven does in this speech. You won't find it because
their message is not one of hope, it is a message of despair perpetuated by dividing Americans with hate,
fear, division and derision. It is beyond me how good hearted, decent, moderate to conservative Christian
Americans like don't understand that the Democratic party is no longer the party of Kennedy.
The reckless fools controlling the Democratic machine are, in my opinion, every bit as depraved and
dangerous as Hitler and the Nazi's were. The main difference being that the Democrats are not uniting
American's against the cruel world around them with a message of hope that their nation can once again
be great.
The dems use all the power of the government to purposely weaken this once great nation by turning the
power of the government against the American people and away from defending our allies and keeping
our enemies at bay.
The US government uses its power to take away the rights of the citizens, to bully every citizen that
happens to disagree with them; the US government uses its power to punish the successful by making
it more difficult to succeed than it has to be, then taking away the rewards of success and giving it to
those who have failed in life due to their own lack of effort or poor choices in life.
The message the US government is sending to the American people is that they are too weak to succeed
so don't even try or the government will punish you for your effort. The dems message is this;
"To get along, you have to go along" with their program. Get in the way and the mighty US government
will attack you with all their might.
The dems program is an all-powerful government that provides all citizens everything they need in life.
The dems program is Socialism, they ignore the fact that socialism has never worked as a form of government
because in reality it works great for those in power, therefore it is attractive to politicians.
I think there are three reasons things have gotten so turned around in this country.
1. The first is that we don't have a major enemy state to force the government to focus its attention outside
the fence line
· So they focus all their power inside the fence line on us, the American people
· They villianize soldiers who defend our freedoms by putting us on terrorist watch lists, they glorify
homosexuals and chastise people of faith, citizens who own weapons, and successful business men
and women
o One word binds all those citizens the dems attack: independence. Citizens who don't need the
government to feed, house and care for them… to the dems those kinds of people are enemies
2. The dems have been hugely successful at controlling the media by having wealthy dems buy the
major networks
· Opposition parties cannot get a fair representation in main stream media. This knife cuts two ways:
o Opposing parties can't get their message out to the people so they can make their own educated
decisions on matters of the state
o The only message the people hear is the one the dems and their supporting media want the people
to hear
o Only the flowery news they want you to hear gets broadcast, the bad news gets misreported or
ignored all together
§ How else can you explain all the fuss over the pro football player kissing his boyfriend on national
television, yet 4 Amercians being slaughtered in "Benghazi is a made up scandal by Fox News"
(President Obama during his interview with Bill O"Reilly just before the superbowl last year)
· The laziness of American's is their downfall and what empowers the dems. American are too lazy
to break away from watching "The Kardashians" or "Hunny Bo Bo" to get on the computer and
research the trash they see pushed by Brian Williams and Ann Curry and all the very likable buffoons
on the nightly news. The dems have capitalized on this fundamental flaw in current American culture
and the republicans & libertarians have not
3. The Patriot Act
· The American people listened to that buffoon Bush and allowed him to pass the Patriot Act which
single handily negated the US Constitution and empowered first Bush, and now Obama to do all
the illegal things he is doing now
· Benjamin Franklin said it best when he warned that “they who would give up essential liberty,
to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety" (http://jonathanturley.org/latest-column/ ).
· In the time of Caesar, a Caesar was appointed during times of hardship and danger to Rome.
Caesar was given absolute power to deal with the situation threatening Rome. When that situation
was over Caesar was required to surrender the absolute powers back to the Senate. If he did not surrender
the absolute powers, or if the Senate felt that Caesar was artificially extending the emergency by either
miss reporting the defeat of the enemy or by expanding the war to maintain his powers;
Caesar would be killed. The Senate would pay a handsome fee to anyone who killed Caesar.
· I think the US Caesar (the president) has miss reported the threat to the American people and has turned
the power of Caesar against the very people who gave him that power to begin with. You might ask
"why would the president of the United States turn the power of the most feared government in the world
against his own people"? Because the only threat to the president's power is the American people.
· I believe it is time for the Senate to end the power of the president and restore the balance of power
as mandated by the founding fathers and outlined in the U.S. Constitution.

in the recent American Legion magazine and in my view, puts into perspective a lot of what is going on
in government.
